Beginner's Guide To Makeup

Hi everyone, this is my very first beauty blog and here I am today to officially start off my blogging journey on my own website, which is an absolute pleasure. Makeup has always been secondary to me since fashion has always occupied the first seat, something which also might be clear from my entire website and my name “Fashionfeedweb.” However, MAKEUP came into existence in my life when I commenced my Content Creation journey which made me contemplate that making your style look good and presentable you need to have a little dolled up face and for that it needs to be beautiful as raw and with makeup. To begin with, let’s start with the must have makeup products

1. Foundation

This is the most basic and essential product. Before starting out, figure out your skin type – dry, normal, oily or combination and then go ahead. I would recommend not going for any expensive ones in the first go and neither for any brand which is unknown, instead going for the reasonable and pocket friendly products so that you don’t burn a hole in your pocket with the first product itself. My suggestions would include the products I have used initially as well:- a) Maybelline :- Fit Me Range b) Nykaa :- Skin Genius (p.s you can opt for alternatives like Mousse, CC or BB Cream but if you’d like to learn makeup from scratch you need to invest in some money on foundation)

2. Palette

I would be suggesting to go for a 3 in 1 Palette to save money and pressure of buying three different products. This palette would serve all three needs at once, Contour, Blush and Highlighter. The contour can also work best for your base eyeshadow which will save you from spending another dime on eyeshadow if you’re just a beginner. Believe me even now there are days when I just put the base shadow instead of going for a full “covered in layers” kind of eye makeup. a) Sugar Cosmetics 3 in 1 Kit b) Chisel it 3 in 1 Palette – My Glamm c) Makeup Revolution 3 in 1 Kit (p.s if you’d like to go for individual products you can consider shopping from Nykaa)

3. Mascara

This is something which will enhance your look even if you haven’t put any lipper or maybe just a balm. Mascara is one of the most loved products of all the beauty influencers and I guarantee you will fall in love too once you start using it. My one and only suggestion with mascara would be to go for lightweight waterproof mascara because girls you know we all are super emotional and you won’t like black tears falling down your cheeks ruining your entire face, telling you from my personal experience always go for the waterproof one. a) Lakme Eyeconic Curling Mascara b) Maybelline New York Colossal Waterproof Mascara c) Rimmel Extra Super Lash Curling Mascara

4. Beauty Blender

This one is a must have, believe you me girls you won’t regret buying it. More than any other brush, a beauty sponge is needed to blend in the foundation and make it look crease and wrinkle free. Make sure you wash it every time before using it, also you’ll see it’ll double up after getting a little wet and that’ll just make your experience even more fruitful and the second thing to keep in mind while using it, is to always dab it on the face and neck and never drag it, to get the best finish.

5. Lipstick

Well, there’s no look complete without a good lip shade and you can either invest in one good lipshade or buy a palette which can be applied on your lips with your fingers and can even work as a crème blush and a shiny eyeshadow. This is a very good alternative for lippers for the first time, otherwise there’s no escaping from a good lipstick/lip-gloss. For the Kiss Palette refer to Nykaa.com and other lipshades you can go for L’Oreal/Maybelline/Lakme/Elle and the list goes on, it totally depends on your discretion of budget and color preferences. That’s it for this blog my girlies, would love to catch up real soon with some another beauty list or beauty hack to ponder upon. LOVE <3 Akshita
